soaked in bleach“Soaked in Bleach” is the docudrama retelling of Tom Grant’s investigation into the disappearance (and ultimately the suspicious death) of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

Grant was hired by Courtney Love in 1994 to track down her missing husband just days before his death. He’s become famous for his eventual investigation into Cobain’s death and his belief that it was likely not suicide, but rather the result of foul play. The movie weaves together dramatic re-creations and interviews with experts and witnesses and examination of artifacts from the case.

A viewing of the film and Q&A with Grant, will be held 6 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at Fulton 55, followed by a Nirvana tribute show with Wintercoat, Dead, Incoming Rush and more.

I live in Aberdeen, WA., which you may know is Curt Cobain’s hometown. I have believed from the start, that he was murdered. It would be nice if justice would prevail. Because of my daily reminder by passing signs leading to his memorial (under the bridge) and our Aberdeen entry sign, “Come As You Are”, it is hard to forget. Thank-you for not giving up this quest for truth!

Nirvana’s contribution impacted the world of music so much that after Kurt died, there seemed to be a dullness. It was only after we began to think about how the music would live on rather than feel sorry for ourselves did we move on.
