I make five picks for tonight’s ArtHop in Thursday’s Life section. Don’t miss The Bee’s very own John Walker and his “Historical Perspectives” of downtown Fresno, which you can view in The Bee’s main lobby at 1626 E St. He’ll conduct a question-and-answer session at 7 p.m. You’ll get to see some amazing contrasts between historical Fresno and what is there today. With today’s ceremonial Fulton Mall groundbreaking, it’s a great juxtaposition.
Also in my picks: Fresno State’s new printmaking professor at the M Street Graduate Studios, a special show featuring UCP students at Peeves Public House, a whimsical self-portrait show at Spectrum Art Gallery, and the annual “Art Scientifique” show at Sorensen Studio.
