LiuUPDATE: Congrats to winners Dan Van Gerpen and Kristen Johnson.

ORIGINAL POST: I’m giving away two pairs of tickets to the 7:30 p.m. Saturday performance of the Fresno Philharmonic at Shaghoian Hall.

The concert (which will be repeated 3 p.m. Sunday) has a powerhouse program. Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7 is sure to rattle your eardrums (in a good way). The eminent French pianist Pascal Roge will play the Saint-Saens Piano Concerto No. 5. And in a world premiere, you’ll get to hear Fresno Pacific University professor and composer Walter Saul’s “Kiev 2014: Rhapsody for Oboe and Orchestra,” which I write about in Friday’s upcoming 7 section.

To enter, leave a comment on this post. One entry per person, please. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14. If you’re a winner, you’ll need to come down to The Bee’s main offices at 1626 E St. and pick up your paper tickets during business hours (8 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Fridays). When you enter, please include a valid email address so we can contact you if you’re a winner. I’ll be informing our winners by email on Wednesday evening, so keep a watch on your inbox.

We can be elevated and maybe even help ourselves evolve by being exposed to performances of brilliance.
